The Old Blood Mein Leben! (Permadeath) run: game crashes right before final boss
By - CMNilo
Let's all agree you finished the game successfully. But yeah, that really sucks.
You're a hero, in our eyes you beat it. (Someone who didn't even feel like trying the difficulty)
Sometimes I'm very happy that I usually play on console. I think each game I played on PC gave me at least one big error that I got fixed after 1 or 2 hours of internet search.
Anyway I don't how trained you were but you could have lost aginst the boss, it happened to me twice on my mein leben runs. That difficulty is very frustrating, F
I replayed the last chapter at the difficulty just below Mein Leben, which I believe has the same parameters except for the lives. I find the boss quite easy actually. Six shots of kampfpistole in the mouth and it's done
Yeah it's the same difficulty but without permadeath, I'm woth you then
I'm planning on doing the New Collossus mein leben run, but I had horrible experience with it (dozens of crashes in my 15hr playing time of it) so I'm afraid of attempting it, if that shit happened to me I would lose my mind.
Mad props tho, in my book you finished the game!
Honestly, I don't know what could be done to prevent crashes and loosing the progression during a permadeath run. Crashes can be easily provoked by the player (on PC at least), so any form of backup could be exploited to come out from a hopeless situation. Not that it would change a lot, since these games don't reward you in any way for completing a Mein Leben, and a few players cheating at this mode wouldn't make a difference to anyone
The only reason I'm doing it is cuz I'm an achievement whore and there's one for New Colossus.
If the same situation happened to me like it did to you, I would honestly turn the trainer on till the last boss and then do it normally lol
