SOURZ by Spinach - Great New Edibles (Review in Comments)
By - darkstar000
Love the LP but I will never buy edibles from the OCS because I'd need to eat like twenty to start feeling it at all.
Yeah, I saw someone with sour patch kids knock offs with like 500mg in the bag and it was $15 or something. Black market seems to be a way better deal for edibles.
Yup these are ridiculous at 2mg per unit, I get chocolate bar PIECES that are 40mg each for $4 a pop.
Yeah, I’m not even sure what a good dosage is. Canada is shutting the bed with edibles and educating the public. A bud tender told me to have one gummy out of 2 so 5mg and to go from there. I smoke daily and have for 20 years…. Something tells me that’s just a waste of money. I won’t pay $50 for enough to get me stoned.
These were always meant for beginner cannabis users, there are other ways to do it through OCS and still pay around that price. I picked up a kit and reign drops for 48 bucks, made 15 gummies at around 60mg per piece. One thing with what your getting, you never really know -unless you are in with the person making them- if they actually have that much THC in it or not.
we talking the shatter bars yes
There are several excellent candy manufacturers on the BM -- And actually I can't think of any shitty ones where I've felt ripped off
that's fair but those sour patch kids are never really 500mg lmao i've tried those so many times and they do about as much as OCS edibles
I would assume it’s 500mg for the whole bag. The OCS gives you two gummies at 5mg a piece, maybe the sour patch kids have 50 gummies at the same potency ratio?
in my experience the dosage on those is usually way below 500mg for the bag it's just misleading because there's no testing. In reality they could slap normal sour patch kids in the edible SPK bags you can buy on Wish for $1 lol
Yeah, my parents told me drug dealers could sell me any plant and call it weed. In 20 years of picking up from illegal dealers, I was never sold anything other then cannabis.
You’re correct in that they are not held to the same standard, but the cannabis market is competitive as hell. No one is going to succeed with counterfeit products, or ineffective edibles. Can you tell the difference between 10mg in a gummy, and 8mg? Unlikely? If you eat a handful, are you still gonna get the effects? For sure.
I really have no reason to suspect black market won’t be what’s advertised, but also no reason to believe it is.
I definitely agree with you about the majority of your points but around here (southern ontario) people absolutely get away with mislabeling their product and selling you something inferior. i've experienced it first hand, having bought black market stuff for the last 10 years. OCS gummies definitely suck too though i'm not discounting that at all lol
Well you just had shitty dealers then. Also remember that BM edibles like the sour patch kids largely come from native reserve stores, so not legal, but still a legitimate operation.
OCS is a rip off but you know this has been tested for purity and shit. The fact I'm ingesting this stuff, I would rather be safe than sorry.
2 mg of THC and a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down, in the most delightful way. I think Mary Poppins would get more high just eating sugar.
Literally just tried these an hour ago and they were really good. Definitely recommend to the consumer with virtually no tolerance.
Which one of them did you try ?
The peach orange.. was pretty tasty candy. Cuz that's really all it is.. fucking candy lmao
Still a really nice tasting gummy tho
Hands down some of the best gummies I’ve tasted
I'm a sucker for sour candy... Blue Raspberry Watermelon is definitely on my radar.
Went into my local store on Friday afternoon to pick up our usual for the weekend - usually Deep Space or MXG beverages. But, we noticed the new SOURZ by Spinach products displayed all over the store so we decided to take a chance on them. Oh my, we were blown away at the quality of these gummy products compared to the other gummies on the market.
Flavor was unreal; each side had a distinct flavor, but when eating the whole gummy at once, you could tell the flavors apart, yet they still worked together. Not a hint of the standard "cannabis" flavors that we are use to "accepting" with Wana's or White Rabbit's products (the metallic / astringent flavor usually associated with distillate).
There were two products available at the store and we picked up a few packs of each:
THC: Blue Raspberry Watermelon
1:1 THC|CBD: Peach Orange
5 Gummies per pack
2mg per gummy
Worth checking out!

What are the ingredients?
YEEE we get these Monday and I have been hoping for a 2mg increment to recommend when people get bored of the twd. Was hoping for Spinach's recent quality but was not sure if would be to their old subpar standards.
I'm really liking the gummy design!
Are they distillate ?
They all are.
Augh Canada is long overdue for full spectrum edibles
OCS description says it’s distillate unfortunately
Affirma and Tidal are both full spectrum!
Thank you!!! I’ll give them a try next order :)
No prob, enjoy 😊😊
Affirma is full spectrum I’m 90% sure
Edit. I continued reading and I saw someone else said that. Sorry for repeating lol
No worries at all thanks a ton for the help! Have the best sunday:)
We would need better packaging regulations for those to actually sell. Some budtenders could (honestly) tout the benefits, but it would be hard to justify the price difference with our newer post-lockdown hires talking about it.
What do you think would need to be conveyed in the packaging that cannot be done currently?
Same as vapes. Just saying hey this feels different than that is not allowed, forget trying to say what it feels like.
Interesting point! I’m not a bit edible consumer but the few experiences I’ve had is apple and oranges comparing distillate and full spectrum edibles. The premium charged would be justified Imo
Your store already has them likely if they have affirma or tidal. There is no special packaging required
I’m done with spinach. Their night dream weed gave me (and friends) weird headaches. Had to go through a bunch of bs to get my $ back and then they promised me a tshirt for my trouble (which I never got). So I’ll have to avoid buying these.
